A newly created Daemen College/Rosary Hill College alumni memorabilia collection featuring various college treasures, from a Rosary Hill blazer to mugs and photos, was unveiled in September in the Wick Campus Center Alumni Lounge.
The first showcase of its kind at the college, the memorabilia collection was made possible from a generous gift from the Rosary Hill College Class of 1963 in honor of its 50th reunion and supported by Dr. Charles Gliozzo, a former assistant professor of European history at the college, and professor emeritus of international studies and programs and director emeritus of the Michigan State University Office of Oversees Study.
“I owe a great debt to Sister Angela (Canavan) and Rosary Hill College where I began my career,” said Gliozzo. “I’m pleased to have been welcomed back for this special event.”
Items donated by alumni are now on display in the collection, which was curated by the Buffalo Alumni Chapter under the direction of Wayne Brown, ’03.
Members of the Class of ‘63 and Gliozzo celebrated the unveiling of the showcase at a reception held during the 50 Plus Reunion Weekend. Dr. Richanne C. Mankey, Daemen vice president for institutional advancement, thanked those in attendance for capturing precious memories from years past.
