Daemen College raised more than $5,000 at the first annual fundraising event held for the newly established Charles Sabatino Study Abroad Scholarship, named in memory of the college’s longtime and beloved professor who passed away suddenly in 2014. In another scholarship, biology major Jossette Allwood has received the Mary Ricotta Scholarship, named in honor of the former director of Rosary Hill College’s (now Daemen) medical technology program.
