Voices from the Future

We recently took the opportunity to connect with several students at our university, gathering their reflections and advice for both their younger selves and the incoming first-year class this fall. Through these interviews, a common theme emerged: the importance of kindness towards oneself and the value of engaging in university events.

Students highlighted how these actions not only enhance the college experience but also foster personal growth and community connections. As the new academic year begins, we pass along this collective wisdom to our first-year students: Be kind to yourself, immerse yourself in campus life, and good luck on your journey!

“Definitely, I’ve changed from who I was at the beginning. The place I thought I’d be isn’t where I am now, but in the best way possible.”
