The Wildcat Media Team at Daemen University spent the spring semester deeply engaged in meaningful collaborations that enriched the campus community. Wildcat Media partnered with the Black Student Union during Black History Month in February, showcasing the artistic talents of the university’s Black student community and amplifying their voices and stories.
During midterms, a collaboration with the CHIP Center created a unique approach to promoting mental wellness. The team attached student-written affirmations to flowers as a way to spread moments of encouragement across campus during a stressful time.
Another impactful project was a partnership with CATS, College Autism Transition Support, where they worked together to create mock interviews. The interviews provided valuable practice opportunities for CATS students to hone their skills in front of potential employers, contributing to their professional development.
And of course, a campus favorite, the annual Wildcat Classic, which consists of a 3 on 3 basketball game, and a 4 on 4 volleyball game, organized in collaboration with Daemen Rec, brought the campus together through spirited sportsmanship and friendly competition.
These Wildcat Media collaborations reflect a dedication to fostering inclusion, creativity, and personal growth within the Daemen community and building connections that strengthen us all while amplifying student voices.
