Embark on a transformative chapter at Daemen University

At last, a decades-long dream to transform the center of the Daemen University campus has become a reality. A traditional campus quad now stands in place of what was once a large parking lot between the John R. Yurtchuk Student Center and Duns Scotus Hall.

A quad is the heartbeat of a college campus, creating a central location for students to gather. A quad also contributes to the character and culture of an institution.

Here, Daemen President Gary A. Olson and Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees Paul Saffrin cut the ribbon on the new Saffrin Public Square. Saffrin, who has supported the university for years, donated $1.5 million to help fund the project, which makes the campus more aesthetically pleasing, safer, and pedestrian-friendly, truly creating a distinctive student experience.
