Daemen University’s Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint three new members during its June and September 2025 quarterly meetings. Peter Sauer was appointed in June and Thomas J. Quatroche, Jr., PhD and Kenneth Manning were appointed in September.

Sauer is president and CEO of Genesis Development & Construction (formerly Calspan Development & Construction). He most notably served as the president and CEO and part-owner at Calspan, where his 15 years of leadership resulted in significant growth and advancements across all company business divisions.

Quatroche is chief executive officer of Erie County Medical Center Corporation (ECMC), providing leadership for over 3,800 staff members at ECMC, Terrace View Long-Term Care Facility, and additional out-patient locations. He has been part of the ECMC family for over 20 years.

He will be leaving ECMC this summer to begin a new statewide role as president and CEO of Healthcare Association of New York State.

Manning is an accomplished litigator and former partner at Phillips Lytle LLP. His experience spans complex cases, including state and federal class actions, product liability defense, catastrophic personal injury actions, and contract and commercial litigations.

“The addition of these prominent trustees enhances the thought leadership that drives the institution’s strategy to ensure long-term sustainability and success,” said John Yurtchuk, chairman of the Daemen board. “Their influence in Western New York is profound, and we are thrilled to see it extend toward excellence in higher education.”
